Mason Xu (许亮)

General Partner of Heyi Capital, a VC fund focusing on China ’s entertainment sector. From 2010 to 2012 Mr. Xu was Chief Financial Officer and Group Vice President of Bona Film Group Limited, for which he led the IPO process which culminated in December 2010 (Nasdaq: BONA). He was also a member of the investment committee of Bona Film Group.  

Prior to joining Bona Film, Mr. Xu served as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of China Digital TV Holding Co., Ltd. (NYSE: STV) from 2006 until 2010. He was a founding member of the company and took it public in October 2007. He then spent the next three years building a fully-fledged management team and corporate internal controls, with an emphasis on Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance work.

Mr. Xu also currently serves as Vice President of the Beijing Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment, as a Director of the China Society for the Promotion of Science and Technology Commercialization, and as Vice President of the Harvard Club of Beijing. He is also Vice President of the Beijing chapter of TEEC (Tsinghua Entrepreneur and Executive Club).

Mr. Xu holds two bachelors’ degrees from Tsinghua University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.


Vice Presidents

 

Wenning Xing (邢文宁) 

currently serves as the CEO of Fundamentle Media. From 2019 to 2022, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Trends. From 2011 to 2019, Mr. Xing served as the China Managing Director of Hearst, an operator of international media brands such as ELLE, Harper’s Bazaar and Cosmopolitan, Fitch China, A&E Networks, ESPN, VICE and Hearst Ventures. Under his tenure, Hearst made investments such as Legendary Pictures, Impression Creative and Bilibili. Before joining Hearst, Mr. Xing held several senior executive positions, including Chief Strategy Officer at a subsidiary of People’s Daily, founder and Chief Representative at Fremantle Media China and Executive Director at Bertelsmann China, and held key posts at Time Warner and China Central Television (CCTV). Mr. Xing is a member of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, and currently serves as a juror for the International Emmy Awards. Mr. Xing is a graduate of Harvard University and Columbia University.


Brian Yu(郁飞)

Founder and CEO of B-Core Consulting, and Partner of Silver Tiger International Asset Management Co. Prior to that, Brian was the Founder of Business Connect China, an expert network for private equities and hedge funds.  Brian is a member of YPO and board member of Harvard Business School Beijing Club.  Brian Yu graduated from Beijing Foreign Studies Unversity and Harvard Business School.


Winston Chen (陈之罡) 

is the Committee of 100’s senior advisor for China. A former Chinese government official and journalist, Mr. Chen was chief China representative of McLarty Associates, a major international strategic advisory firm in Washington, DC, where he worked with multi-national companies to support their operation in China.  Prior to that, Mr. Chen worked on investment and government relations at the Beijing office of APCO Worldwide, one of the largest global public affairs consultancies.  Before returning to China, he worked for Hong Kong Sing Tao Daily in New York City and Washington, DC, where he served as the newspaper’s Washington Bureau Chief, covering U.S.-China relations and U.S. national news.  Mr. Chen began his career in the Chinese State Council’s office of Hong Kong and Macao affairs as well as in the National People’s Congress, where he worked on the preparatory committee for the Hong Kong hand-over.  He received his MPA from Harvard Kennedy School and his MA and BA in international relations from Peking University.


Nan Shen (沈楠)

is a venture investor with ten years' experience in venture capital, private equity, and M&A advisory businesses. She has mainly been focusing on the investment in early and growth stage companies in TMT, biotech, and cleantech sectors.  She worked in Keytone Ventures, Hudson Clean Energy Capital, Huaneng Invesco WLR Investment Ltd. and Citigroup China Investment Banking Department.

Nan Shen holds a Master’s Degree in Chemistry and Chemical Biology from Harvard University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from University of Science and Technology of China. Nan She is also a CFA charterholder.


 
Directors
 

Ligang Zhang (张黎刚)

 is regarded as one of China's leading pioneers and advocates in the field of preventive healthcare services. Mr. Zhang founded iKang in 2004 and has built iKang into the largest private preventive healthcare service provider in China. Mr. Zhang received undergraduate education in biology from Fudan University in Shanghai China and graduate education in medical sciences from Harvard Medical School Division of Medical Sciences. Mr. Zhang also worked at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.

While at Harvard, Mr. Zhang founded Harvard China Review and Harvard China Forum and served as its Co-President and Publisher. From 1998 to 1999, Mr. Zhang served as the head of product development at Sohu.com (NASDAQ: SOHU) and helped it to transform from a directory search site into a major portal in China. In 1999, Mr. Zhang co-founded eLong.com (NASDAQ: LONG) and served as its CEO until 2003. eLong is now one of the largest online travel service companies in China.

Mr. Zhang has served as a member of Harvard Graduate School Alumni Association Council, Vice President of the Harvard Beijing Club, Vice President of Fudan University Beijing Alumni Association, Vice President of the Fudan University Shanghai Alumni Association, and member of YPO.


Wan Duo (万朵)

Duo Wan is responsible for the daily management of the Club as well as the coordination of Club activities. She manages visits of Harvard University leadership to Beijing and liaises with the Harvard Alumni Association. 

She works for a leading bank in Asia, providing financial solutions to large corporate clients. Prior to that, she worked for a global consulting firm with experience in strategic communications and brand marketing. 

She obtained her bachelor’s degree from Renmin University of China and her master’s degree from Harvard University. She was also a visiting student at the University of Manchester. She received the merit-based National Academic Scholarship, SMBG Global Foundation Scholarship and ETS Scholarship. 

Currently, she is Senior Advisor to UWTI Investment Consulting Co. Ltd. (HK), and the China Association for Development Finance.


Simeng Han (韩思蒙) 

is the Director of China at Analysis Group. As a statistician and healtheconomist with broad experiences in statistics and medical big data, her expertise includes statistical methodology development and its application in healthcare industry. She has consulted on a wide range of therapeutic areas worldwide. Simeng also serves as the executive member of the Computational Statistics Section of Chinese Association for Applied Statistics and the committee member of the Pharmacoeconomics Professional Committee of Chinese Research Hospital Association.  

Simeng holds a bachelor's degree from Peking University and a Ph.D. degree in statistics from Harvard University.


Jundong Wu(吴俊东)

graduated from Harvard Kennedy School with a Master in Public Policy, Class of 2017. He got his bachelor of economics from Renmin University of China. He founded a nonprofit school for rural migrant workers in Beijing when he was a business major freshmen in the college. The school has served more than 2500 migrant workers up to now. After graduation from college, he had been working on education innovation and advocacy in a leading nonprofit education think tank in Beijing, participating in China’s several education policy reform advocacy.

During his master program at Harvard, he has served as the Co-chair of China Education Symposium at Harvard, one of the most influential China education conferences overseas, and led the conference to a new level of social impact. Since graduation from Harvard, he has come back to Beijing and worked in education venture investment, and continued to improve China education quality and equity through technology and innovation.


艾诚 

主持人、投资人、《艾问iAsk》创始人。毕业于哈佛肯尼迪政府学院。艾诚曾任央视驻纽约财经评论员。是《福布斯》杂志2016“30位30岁以下亚洲人物”唯一上榜华人主持。2014年创立《艾问iAsk》,记录近2000位时代人物,并投资字节跳动、影谱科技、喜马拉雅等优秀媒体科技公司。曾获世界经济论坛全球杰出青年、瑞丽年度最具影响力投资人等荣誉。艾诚是“醒目而活使命而生”的小红裙公益精神发起人,多年被授予中国公益大使奖,曾荣获中国财经峰会年度新经济人物奖,并受邀担任南非女性成长亲善大使。著有中信出版社出版的《奋斗是一种信仰》《创业的常识》《创业不死法则》等书。

哈佛大学神学院2016年硕士毕业生,首个入选哈佛创新实验室创业计划的华人团队创始人,2015-16学年任哈佛大学中国学生学者联合会公共服务部部长,创立哈佛学人赛艇队。荣蔚热爱教育事业,回国后创立大学生实习就业服务平台实习鸟,免费为大学生求职者提供专业信息服务,于2018年被微博评选为最受大学生喜爱的求职类APP,并以职业专家身份受邀至中央电视台进行访谈,同时兼任优客工场优客讲堂讲师。荣蔚积极投身公益慈善事业,进入哈佛大学读书前,任全球最大的唇腭裂修复慈善机构——微笑行动学生项目亚太区负责人;毕业回国后,曾服务于亚太经合组织(APEC)、阿拉善SEE生态协会等国际组织和公益组织。
